The responsibility for running a pension scheme is not something to be taken lightly. The Pension Act 2004, the numerous Social Security Acts and a panoply of pensions regulations conspire to make the trustees’ and employers’ roles complex and demanding.

Alexander Forbes Trustee Services has been acting as an independent trustee for over thirty years, helping schemes to navigate the treacherous waters of pension scheme regulations and legislation, and assisting them to meet their objectives, whether that is to:

• overcome a particularly difficult short-term issue;
• negotiate with the Regulator or an employer;
